Krud Kutter has been a trusted brand for a wide range of cleaning products since 1974. The company was purchased by Rust-oleum in 2014. New products as well as new formulations for existing products have continued to be developed. Many of the most important changes have centered around making the products safer to use not only for the consumer but for the environment as well.
A number of the Krud Kutter products have the EPA Safer Choice certification on their label. This means that they are one of the over 2,000 products that have been safety inspected and tested and have met the strict criteria for all ingredients and are eligible for that labeling.

Krud Kutter HW32H4 House Wash Concentrated Spray (32 oz.) Review
Designed to clean all parts of the exterior of your home including the gutters, trim and roof as well as a number of other outdoor items, this concentrated spray is ready to use as is or can be mixed with water for additional chores. The bottle has a built in hose end sprayer which simply screws in to a standard garden hose for super simple use.
Safe for Most Materials
Krud Kutter House Wash can be used on brick, stucco, concrete and masonry as well as vinyl, aluminum and painted or stained wood siding, decks and patios. It should not be used on untreated wood. Spot testing is suggested for wood or other materials that are old, in poor condition or are more delicate in nature. Spot testing is also recommended for glass patio table tops to make sure that it will not cause streaking or milky glass.
What it Removes
Krud Kutter House Wash can be used to remove dirt, rust, tree sap, bird droppings, mold, mildew, algae and fungus as well as the stains these may leave behind. It is non-toxic, non-flammable and biodegradable so it may be safely used around people, plants and pets.
How to Use
The formula is ready to use as is and should be used at full strength for tougher jobs. It can also be cut with water for lighter stains or more fragile materials.
Used at full strength the average, 32 ounce bottle will clean around 1000 square feet. If mixed 1:9 with water it should clean around 4000 square feet.
Krud Kutter House Wash can be sprayed directly on to a surface, applied with a brush or a cloth or used in a pressure washer. (Check the operating instructions on your pressure washer before adding any new chemicals of any kind.) The wash should be allowed to stand for 5-15 minutes and then rinsed off. You can also allow it to sit and then scrub or agitate it before rinsing.
Is this a recommended product?
Designed to make cleaning the outside of your home easier, it provides a decent amount of coverage at full strength and even more when mixed with water. Some people report getting far better results using this house wash with a pressure washer but that may not be an option for everyone. Keep in mind that not every product will work on every stain and there may be a need for a second or even third application of Krud Kutter House Wash. It has a decent price point and seems to be worth the effort.

Krud Kutter HS01 Green Pressure Washer Concentrated House and Siding Cleaner (1 Gallon) Review
This Green Pressure Washer Concentrate contains a unique additive called “Sporex” which is Quat 615 based. (Quat refers to a category of cleaning and sanitizing products and additives. These are used in wide range of areas and are preferred over chlorine based cleaners for a number of reasons including cost effectiveness and overall performance. These cleaners often tend to have a lower rate of odor.)
Sporex for Treatment and Prevention
Sporex is useful to combat tough stains on exterior surfaces. It can also be used to help prevent certain types of stains such as mold and mildew from returning. For best results as a preventative measure, the Krud Kutter House and Siding Cleaner should be reapplied every 3-4 months. In areas with high humidity, the applications may need to be more frequent.
The concentrate can also be used to remove dirt, oil and grease, bird droppings, tree sap and the effects of acid rain on nearly all of your outdoor surfaces.
How to Use
The concentrated formula should be mixed 1:10 with water. It can then be applied by pressure washer, hose sprayer or brushed on. It should be allowed to sit for 10-15 minutes and then rinsed off. For tough stains a second application may be needed. Better results may be obtained by scrubbing or brushing before rinsing. Mixed in this way, a 1 gallon jug will make 11 gallons of cleanser and should cover approximately 2000 square feet.
Is this a recommended product?
While not every product can remove 100% of every stain, 100% of the time, the ability to use Krud Kutter’s Green Pressure Washer Concentrated House and Siding Cleaner as a preventative measure is a huge bonus. People who live in very humid areas as well as those who live where mold and mildew is especially rampant often look for ways to minimize these unsightly stains before they get a chance to get started. Sporex is listed as a safer additive than chlorine and other chemicals but should still be used with appropriate caution. If used as a house cleaner it is highly recommended that all plants be rinsed with water after application to remove all traces of the cleaner from their leaves. This is especially important if the product was used at full strength.

Krud Kutter 305375 Kitchen Degreaser, All Purpose Cleanser (32 oz.) Review
This Kitchen Degreaser can be used on nearly every surface in every room of your home. It can also be used as an outdoor cleaner for things such as patio furniture and the grill. It works well on grease but can still be safely used in and around the food prep areas of your kitchen without the need for rinsing.
Safer and Easier to Use
As an EPA Safer Choice certified product, this degreaser and all-purpose cleaner can be used around people, pets and plants. It is non-toxic and fragrance free. This product is ready to use and does not need to be mixed or diluted in any way. It can be directly sprayed on to the surface to be cleaned or applied with a cloth. Spot testing should be done on some woods and delicate surfaces. Freshly painted woods or woods that may not be adequately sealed can be harmed by the use of any cleanser.
Is this a recommended product?
If you can replace at least a portion of the cleaning products you need, you have probably saved yourself a lot of money as well as freed up a lot of storage space. As a degreaser on grills, stove tops and stove hoods, this product does seem to work fairly well. Some cleaning tasks may need more than one application of this cleanser and may also require some scrubbing or brushing to be clean.

Krud Kutter Original, Concentrated Cleaner and Degreaser (32 ounces) Review
Sold in both single and multi-packs as well as in larger sizes, this original cleaner is American made and water based. It is non-toxic, biodegradable, non-flammable and xylene free.
Use in Multiple Ways
This concentrated cleaner can be used on grime that is old or new as well as on wet or dry stains and messes. It can also be used in a variety of ways. For heavy duty cleaning including outside (grill, driveway, patio furniture), kitchen (hood and exhaust fans, stove top, oven, microwave), bathroom (tub, sink, shower) and more it should be used at full strength. Some messes may require multiple applications plus some scrubbing. Allowing the cleanser to sit on the surface for longer periods of time may also increase its effectiveness.
For appliances and small spills as well as counter tops and other surfaces the cleanser can be diluted at a rate of 1 1/2 cup of the concentrate to 1 gallon of warm water. It can be mixed in a spray container and sprayed on or applied with a sponge or rag. For reflective surfaces such as electronic screens (computers, tablets, TVs and more) as well as some crystal, windows, mirrors (including in your car) and delicate surfaces the concentrate can be further diluted to 1 1/2 ounce to 1 gallon of warm water. Spot testing should be performed and this cleanser should not be used on antique or expensive crystal without consulting an expert first.
This cleanser can be used for your clothing as a spot-treater and pre-wash as well as an additive in the washing machine for extra soiled loads of clothing.
Clothing that is soaked in any kind of oil or solvent can be soaked in a mixture of the Original cleaner and water and then thoroughly rinsed to avoid the risk of harmful fumes and to reduce fire hazard during the laundering process.
It can be added to some types of carpet cleaners as well as in pressure washers for larger jobs. Always read the manufacturer’s instructions for your carpet cleaner before using any new chemicals. It is important to spot test before using Krud Kutter on your carpets, rugs or furniture.
Is this a recommended product?
The original formula Krud Kutter, this is the product that most people think of when they hear the brand’s name. It can be be used in many ways and for many cleaning jobs. Given that not every product can be perfect in every situation, if this can clean just half of what you are considering using it for it is probably a win. It is important to remember to spot test especially when using it for things such as carpet cleaning or on furniture. It can also be used on delicate surfaces with appropriate precautions. It does not need to be rinsed even when used on kitchen counters and can be used outside without harming the lawn, your plants or your pets.

Krud Kutter has been an American company since 1974, however not all of their current product offerings are made in the United States. When appropriate the made in the US information has been included in this review. Some of the offered cleansers are made in China but must still adhere to the same regulations to be sold in the US. All products in the Krud Kutter family that have the EPA Safer Choice certification label must meet the standards set forth by the EPA to continue using this labeling.
Most of the Krud Kutter products can be used as either a full strength, heavy duty cleaner or at various dilutions to be used for lighter messes and/or for more delicate surfaces.
Most can be used for both interior or exterior cleaning needs however, those that are listed as an exterior cleanser should probably only be used in that way. It is important to read all labeling when choosing a cleanser and to always use proper safety precautions including adequate ventilation, gloves and other protective clothing when necessary and goggles if splashing or spray back is a concern. This can include when using the built in hose end sprayer or in a pressure washer. Never mix Krud Kutter with another chemical or cleaner.
I have this beautiful garden that lines the outside of my driveway and I was really worried that I was going to kill it trying to clean it! However, with Krud Kutter it didn’t hurt a thing! I highly recommend if you have nice flowers and don’t want to kill them for the sake of cleanliness.

I had been struggling to find a cleaner that would remove all of the tree sap in my gutters. It was super stuck on there! Krud Kutter Multi Purpose House Wash Cleaner can easily help you with this. Make it a point to look inside your gutters at least twice a year. Typically in the Spring and Fall.
This cleaner works amazing when paired with a pressure washer! You need to be careful when spraying on painted surfaces because the pressure washer could remove the paint. (Learned that the hard way)
